I really don't know where to start here. This was my wife and I's first apartment, we thought it would be a good place to start out at. The key word is "we thought." I'll start with the laundry facilities. Each building has a community laundry room with four washers and four dryers. At least half the time multiple washers and dryers are out of order, for weeks at a time. The equipment looks like its from the late 70's, early 80's, very outdated. Its a $1.50 for wash and $1.00 for dry, and your not going to fit much in one load so be prepared to have a lot of quarters.

With the room itself, the sink had rust marks on it as soon as we moved in, the carpet was worn and overdue to be replaced. As far as security in the room there is a deadbolt and a chain lock. The refrigerator and freezer had the problem with items freezing in the back of the fridge and thawing in the front of the fridge and freezer. And it also looked very outdated. Now I am not the biggest guy in the world, but I felt confident that I could kick the door down. And we discovered very quickly in the winter, that the window was open about a quarter inch on the side that is not meant to be open. When I tried to close it the corner of the window broke. It take maintenance two weeks to make it out to fix the window. When winter ended, we had water leak from the vents in the apartment. And at least once a week there were police choppers with searchlights circling the apartment.

Regarding the neighbors, and I am aware that this is in no way Center Court's fault, we were disappointed with how shady some of the people living there were, knowing that the office runs a background check before letting people move in. My wife and I had a guy talking on his phone about "pimping out women and hitting his hoes" approach us for cigarettes. Numerous times had people try to move our laundry while other times had people leave their items in the washers or dryers for hours at a time. And our first week there heard a guy scream loud and clear, "I could murder you right now and nobody would ever know." This in addition to numerous domestic disputes. And the hallways always smelled like smoke.

Regarding the staff at Center Court. Peter and Hazel were both wonderful employees that really went above and beyond to try to represent Center Court, very kind people. The landlord, my wife and I both found her to be very rude and very unprofessional. When we brought up the problem with the laundry facilities she tried to hide behind a contract she was supposedly stuck in that stated the leased washers and dryers had to be provided, not maintained. That doesn't make sense to me. She also tried telling us she hired the choppers for additional security. Hard to believe when things were poorly maintained. Also, when we first toured the place we were shown the model apartment in the front building that had new washers and dryers in the community laundry room, and newer appliances in the models that we were told were identical to what we were getting. I know models I supposed to look nicer and sell the place, but we kinda felt like we were hit with bait and switch.

Overall to conclude this review, my wife and I are much happier in our new apartment and the more we look back at Center Court the more we really can see how bad our experience was there. So I will conclude with these parting words...If you move into Center Court you are heading for major disappointment.
