The stucco and chimney work they performed was excellent. Josh, the lead contractor, answered all of my questions and couldn't have been more helpful. The guys that performed the work were courteous and made sure the yard was completely clean before they left. Thanks Able!

Could this company be less professional? I doubt it. We told the receptionist several times that we wanted a quote, not an estimate, and she seemed to understand. She said she would relay that message to the person who came out. A guy in a truck with no logo drove up, got out without a clipboard or any other material, and approached us without saying anything. He wasn't wearing a name tag and didn't seem to know who we were. He said "You need a new roof?" We said yes, and we wanted a quote and not an estimate. He got a sneering look on his face and told us they were the same thing! (All over the web, builders are telling people to get a quote, which is a contract, and not an estimate, which is a piece of paper). Then we told him we wanted open valleys on the roof, and he sneered again, and said "that's the easy way to do it. We do it the right way." He was just a nasty piece of work all around, and I finally told him to get off the property. He wasn't moving fast enough so I told him to hurry up, and he started shouting at me. We left a message for his superior, but we got no return call. When we called back the guy on the other end said he'd come out personally to give us an estimate, and that they never do quotes. "Tell your staff that," we told him. He was obviously still trying to get our business (that ship had sailed) and not listening to the problems we had with his employee. If this is how they behave before they have our business, I'd hate to think what they do afterwards.

Bad experience with ABLE. Someone came out to do our estimate, and told us we would receive a phone call in a couple days to schedule the re-roofing. Two weeks went by, and we didn't hear from anyone. After I made several phone calls, we were finally put on the schedule to have our roof done. The roof itself was done well, but they left damage to our house. Much of the decking was replaced, and in the process they shattered a large picture frame and a glass bottle in our attic. Approximately 40 tar marks were left down all the sides of our freshly painted house. Multiple roofing nails were found in the yard - one at the base of our driveway. They knocked a piece of the lampost in the front yard off. An edge of the roof that touches the siding was left unfinished, needing a flashing/edging piece. After sending an email where they claimed it was "fine", they haven't responded. Someone came out to try to scrub the tar marks off the house, but only scrubbed the middle of the marks - the top and the bottom still remain, as well as residue from the solution they used to clean them. The replaced the piece of the lampost that they knocked off - but it does not match our current lampost in color or material. Customer service was not good - throughout our entire experience, we have been calling them several times in order to get one return call. If you are considering ABLE Roofing, I would look for a different company.

Our experience with Mr. Roof was excellent. The roof installation was completed in one day, as promised. The follow up was great, answering all of our questions and addressing all of our concerns. I would recommend Mr. Roof to family and friends.

I give these guys 5 stars since they did exactly what they said they would do on a terrible day. I had a bad leak and though that they would cancel. The man who came to the door noted that if it were his home he would want the leak stopped and that is why he came out - and the leak is fixed!!!!

Able Roofing just won the Consumer Choice Award again for obvious reasons. We chose them for that reason and were not disappointed. The price was very good too and they were very very nice to deal with.

They did my garage roof and I am going to have them do my house next year. they promised me that the shingle would match. I hope it does but they did good work.

Able did my parents roof 25 years ago and in fact I still lived at home. It was a natural for me to use them as they are a lot bigger and have a good reputations. They did a nice job.

When my roof started leaking they are the only company I called. I felt the price was fair and the service was extremely good. I liked the customer contact which seems to be missing with a lot of service companies in this day and age. There is likely a reason that they dominate in Central Ohio and have been around forever.

I used Able roofing in 1988, then 1990, then again in 2007, and most recently in 2013. Every time they have been consistent in the way they do business as well, Steve the owner is still there calling the shots. I have 3 rental properties and they now all have Able roofs on them. I got a lifetime warranty on my house roof as well so maybe this is the last time I will need a roof?

I had a problem with a leak and the company that put it on 5 years ago could not fix the leak. Then they blamed on the shingle manufacturer and the shingle manufacturer blamed it on the roofer and I got stuck in the middle. After a year of arguing I gave up and looked for the best company I could find and that was Able Roofing. Great warranty is what sold me.

We own four commercial buildings totaling more than 75K sq ft and this company is maintaining the roofing on all of them. I've dealt with many commercial roofing contractors, but would ONLY recommend them.

Everyone, at each step of the process, was an effective and valuable member of the Able Roofing team! Best company possible to get the job done!

The job site was kept clean and safe. My work was done right the first time. And Able Roofing adhered to our agreed upon schedule.

Absolutely the best waranty in the industry. Look at the small print when you buy and you will choose Able. Look beyond mystery internet reviews by dubious sources and you will then choose Able. Able Roofing has been in business since 1986. They have been awarded the Consumer Choice Award as the #1 roofing company in Central Ohio for customer satisfaction.

Never again. Able sent one of their employees, who gave us an estimate and said the work would be guaranteed. Thousands of dollars later, the roof was done, and afterward, a different employee came out to tell us the roof would NOT be guaranteed. If I could give them 0 stars, I would have.

Worst service. Roof was done in 2003 and right after they installed very third day when I turned outside lights closer to roof caught on fire couldn't prove was due to nail in wiring since entire roof was gone. They installed it again in 2004 Feb. since then twice we had problem and now after 8 years all the shingles are coming of. Able would not stand behind there work since contractor signed for 5 year warranty.I would stay away from this company.

Able roofing just put a new roof on our 40 year old home.I built the house myself in 1971 because we were working for other builders and couldn't stand their poor workmanship.

Due to age we no longer feel safe on ladders. We have used Able on other projects, & found their work to be well done.This job was done in a short amount of time,by very capable workman & clean-up left nothing for me to do. resljs

I had a pretty bad experience with them. The roof has been leaking for months, and Able is just putting a handful of caulking here and there, and trying to get out of doing anything before the warranty expires. My husband finally got up there and found that the roof is fastened wrong, and the flashings are done incorrectly. After hearing that, Able is simply not calling back. We will be filing a BBB complaint.



By the way, obviously, a bunch of bogus reviews here. How come two people have grandparents using Able and three (!) wrote about AARP discount, all in one month? I think, the sales are tanking.
