I was also duped by Lawrence Nelson and his son. He swindled me out of $3100 for roof repair and no work was ever started. He ignored my phone calls, and wouldn't return my messages.I filed charges against him and he never showed for court.I finally contacted the ADA and a trial against him was actually started. When I arrived at court, I didn't expect to see so many people that he took money from. He has stolen over $20,000 altogether from the people present in court, not to mention the amounts from others. I am satisfied that he was awarded jailtime and he is required to pay restitution.

My roof was leaking in my front bathroom so after several estimates I looked in the telephone book and found Nelson's roofing he was at my house in approx. 15mins. Mr Nelson and son are thieves they wanted money down and we were stupid enough to trust him and gave 1700 dollars down for supplies mr Nelson never showed up and when we called him, he promised to be at our home at 3pm to sign for supplies when they were delivered needless to say that never happened. My husband called him requesting our money back on an answering machine we could never talk with him because the mail box was always filled. I have never met such untrustworthy , loud talking people in all my life he made a promise took our money and never intended to do the job. After waiting for over a week to see if they would redeem themselves to no avail. This morning I called the police to give a statement I police contacted the company and was told someone will return the call. We were robbed by someone who does this consistently to customers in the Columbus area this man and son should be stripped of a license that they possess they should be incarcerated BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED.

They are a scam company they go to other people job sites and talk down on company to get work only to a horrible job and rob the clients I wouldn't call this company for nothing but call 911 if they knock on your door... Beware

Beware!! This Business is a scam!!! For all who don't know this Business Used to be called Nelsons roofing and repair and is now called Lawrence roofing and construction. The so called Owner mr Lawrence and his son "JR" changed the name due to all the Unhappy customers he ripped off and have had to either call the police or filed a lawsuit or both to get there money back. His "workers"Consist of Different people with different levels of skills and skill sets so the work is very Inconsistent. Mr Lawrence uses these Different "workers" on a day-to-day Basis so you might not see the same one. The owner is a crook plain and simple but dont take my word for it, read the other people reviews and take this Little piece of advice "if mr Lawrence or his son comes to your house call the police!!!" Long story short no matter what price he gives you don't use this so called Business!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

I hired this man to do a job and he failed to do good work. He quoted me a good price, right around the same as the other estimates. I hired him and thus the problems begun. First he did not complete the job he contracted to do, my contract was for shingles to be removed (not done), flashing installed (which placed against the front side of the chimney on top of the old one and drilled it down without placing the sides under the shingles), no caulking was used against the flash to seal the chimney and he failed to return my calls or meet me which he said he would on 4 different ocassions. This man is very unprofessional, he lacks integrity and he doesn't desire anyones business. If you have the optional to do not have this man do your work, he is untrustworthy to complete the job. Unfortunately I am a woman I went on the computer to google his work after the contractor came to repair my wall and my chimney sides, he said the work was not done right. Once I google the work and looked at what he did, of course I called him and he gave some excuse that it can be done other ways too, but to just place a 75.00 flash against the chimney and leave saying you completed the work for 525.00 was bad business. I am currently pursuing a case against this man through the BBB and eventually filing through the court system because he is still lying. I have contract, invoice, bank statements and witnesses and he is still not trying to fix the problem. This going to cost him time and money for something he could avoid by making things right with a customer. I have nothing good to say, except he was polite when I first met the man, I guess that caused me to misjudge his character. Be careful people and always check the reviews for any and everything and everybody. Unfortunately the first review wasn't available, if it were it could have saved me heartache. Very unhappy customer :(

i would juslike to let everyone know that there is more to this company than meets the eye.this company gives roofers a very bad name...let me explain...i was a former employee forman to be exact this man is only in it for the money if u want ur leaks stopped or ur roof repaired then i recommend u call someone else . not only is the work wak but the way he treats his help is also very unproffessional so if ur thinkink bout looking for a job with him i advise u not to cause youll find urself callin the police in order to recieve ur money so in escence before u let this man do ur work take the time to do ur homework on this man because like i said before there is more than meets the eye

let me add this iam not out to get this man i just feel that the public should know whats really going on cause if u hear it from him it a lie just to get ur money
