Most horrible dining experienced I have ever encountered. If you are interested in grabbing lunch at the Sweet Cake House...RUN! Today we went with high expectations of getting their homemade chicken pot pie, instead we walked away with frustration and crappy sandwiches.



We had 6 orders for our office. Red flag number one: when you walk in there is no indication that they serve anything other than pastries, we should have left then. Red flag number 2: All orders were scribbled on a piece of copy paper by a young man that was clearly clueless. After taking a seat and waiting for 15+ minutes we were informed that they had no chicken pot pie, red flag number 3. After changing half of our orders, clueless worker scribbled new orders on a post-it-note. Again we took our seats to wait. Over the next 35 minutes the following items were unavailable: soup, potato salad, white bread, swiss cheese, sugar cookies, and of course the chicken pot pie (the WHOLE reason we had gone in the first place.) Red flags number 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. After waiting for an hour for 6 six sandwiches the to-go boxes FINALLY started to emerge from the kitchen. And of course every order that was made was wrong...



#1 Ham and Cheese Melt (comes on a croissant) - Instead came out on sour dough

#2 Grilled cheese on white - instead came out on sour dough

#3 Ham and Cheese Melt - did come on the croissant but the swiss it was supposed to come with instead came with crappy processed american cheese slices. Told they were out of swiss but every other order came with it.

#4 Grilled cheese on Wheat - wrong side

#5 Grilled cheese on sour dough - had swiss but also came with ham (not requested)

#6 Turkey, bacon and swiss - came with bacon and ham no mention of missing turkey (they may have run out of that as well but never said anything)



So not only was the service the WORST I have ever encountered but the food was TERRIBLE. Processed cheeses and cheap ingredients. The only side that was available was the paste salad which was basically just noodles and mayo...I did not eat it. If they are this disorganized with their operations, what are their kitchen habits like? I ate the sandwich after re-toasting it when we got back to the our office. All our meals sat for 15+ minutes during the back and forth to fix all the mistakes.



The biggest mistake made was that we did not just walk out. After making us wait for so long we felt committed, but if we would have known what the end product was going to be, we would have run out of there.



Bottom line, the menu sounds amazing and the prices are stellar but it is all too good to be true. Don't waste your time, money, or taste buds here.

They put the cake in the wrong wedding ballroom. They did not check the door to make sure it was in the right room.
