I am from out of state and I had Prestige replace my clutch in my 2000 BMW 323i and then found out that the transmission was the problem. After replacing the transmission to I noticed that the clutch was making a funny grinding sound when I had engaged it. The service tech assured me that it was because it needed to be broken in. So I started off on my journey home to Massachusetts the noise continued to get worse and I was worried I would end up stranded on the side of the road. Fortunately I did make it and took it to my local garage where they determined that the clutch had been improperly installed, it was actually backwards. Prestige did ship me a replacement clutch. However, they would not cover any of the expenses to diagnose the trouble and have the clutch installed properly. I paid Prestige $2500 for a new clutch and a used transmission, am I asking to much to have them cover the shop bill to fix his mistake?
