I accidentally discovered Musician's Supply, as I needed an instrument repair that would have taken other area shops a LOT longer. Its manager, Marty, not only oversees the store but he's also a wizard at instrument repair - repairing all manner of band and orchestra instruments, as well as guitars, basses and fretted instruments. A super nice guy, he's now worked on two of my acoustic guitars - a six, and then a 12-string - and also one of my guitar amps. EVERY time, he does a great job, and is extremely reasonable in what he charges. And if followup is needed, he's quick to remedy it. And what I really appreciate is that the shop doesn't try to nickel and dime you to death. What an unexpected great find!

Great Store, well stocked, informed staff. Took lessons here for awhile with a fantastic teacher, but had to stop due to my work schedule. Don't know what happened with the other review... maybe the kid never practiced?

My child took lessons with this company for a year, and barely learn the basics. Although the instructor could play the instrument, he could not teach the instrument. My child took a 30 minute lesson, and was often distracted by another instructor, so by the time class started, my child would only have about 15-20 minutes of instructions. My child never played in a recital. I am certain there are other teachers/musicians that were not as unprofessional as the one I had to deal with, so choose carefully. Ask questions. There are other schools in the Irmo area that are much better than this business.
