Just had the worst experience here this morning. My mother has excruciating pain in her hip after a bad fall. A friend referred us to Dr. Bill, so I made an appointment. The office called us back later to tell Mom that, because she was referred, she would not have to pay for X-rays or the consult. The only remaining cost would be the adjustment itself, and they would file that with her Medicare.

We got to the office 15 minutes early. After waiting 10 minutes, they hand us a large pile of paperwork to fill out. Why not mail the paperwork ahead of time so she could fill it out in the comfort of her own home? Instead of making her sit for 40 more minutes in a horribly uncomfortable waiting area that makes the bus station feel like a day spa?

Afterward, a girl sat us down to go over the finances. Apparently, Medicare won’t let them offer free services if Medicare is to cover any part. So they wouldn’t be offering us free X-rays and a free consult after all. And they wouldn’t be directly filing with Medicare either. We’d have to pay hundreds of dollars on the first visit, then have Medicare reimburse us.

No one told us this over the phone. They were indeed aware my mother’s insurance was Medicare. They had plenty of time to warn us of the REAL costs. But, as greedy, unethical people do, they lied to us to get us in the door. Probably figured we’d just agree to pay them whatever. They refused to help us when we asked them simply to not put the visit under her insurance. Then the employee suggested we speak to the owner, Dr. Bill. We agreed, and waited for her to go get him. She came back and told us never mind, that he was with a patient.

I have never visited such a heartless, unethical, crooked, and unorganized medical practice in my life. They tormented my 70-year-old mother for hours before forcing her to leave in tears. They are despicable, cruel people. Don’t waste your time or energy. And definitely don’t let a loved one endure this horrible treatment.

Phyiscal therapy for 5 weeks was amazing with this staff thanks alot. Friendly and professional staff.

DO NOT TRUST THIS OFFICE!!! As a favor to a friend, I went to check out a free wellness exam they were promoting. She needed more referrals for the promotion. I guess it was their way of trying to get more people into the business. First, when I arrived to fill out whatever paperwork, they asked for my insurance card. I told them that my plan does not cover chiropractic therapy but they took it anyway. After x-rays and funky positions and questions about my back, I sat in their session to discuss any possible therapy plans. I listened to them explain the possible issues I'm having on my back. They gave me the same exact lecture about a curve on my back that they gave to my other friend last week. I mean, almost verbatim to what they told her. Can we say "SKETCH?!?" Few days later, I get a notification that they had filed a claim through my insurance for the exam which was suppose to be FREE. Well my claim was denied, like I knew it would be, and they ripped me out of $125. Who knows how many people they did that too!! All I'm saying is their first priority is not the patient. DO NOT TRUST THIS OFFICE!!

I had back pain for several years and it was limiting my ability to run. I started treating with Midlands about six weeks ago and I can run again without pain. They set up a payment plan that is affordable. I have recommended Midlands Health to my friends and family. My only suggestion is that they open at 7am so I can get my adjustment before work.

Very nice facility. The staff members are VERY nice and the doctors really seem to care about me and my issues. They have been very accomadating with my schedule as well. I really like the trigger point sessions, they really seem to help. Also they have been great at working with me on finances.

Courteous, professional staff with outstanding customer service. This is an office that truly cares for the well being of its patients. Dr. Sandrapaty's examinations were thorough and he explained everything very clearly to me. Never having had a chiropractic adjustment before I was a little apprehensive. Dr. McCaughan is so kind as well as his staff. I had suffered with hip pain for several months and the adjustments and exercises have relieved the pain completely. I would highly recommend Midlands Health Center to my friends and family.

For me Midlands Health Center was a great concept with very poor execution. I liked the idea of the mix of Western and Eastern medicine. When I first went I could barely walk with severe sciatica pain. They did X-rays and layed out a comprehensive 6 MONTH therapy program. They try to get you to pay all up front for a 20% discount on your co-pays or in monthly installments for a 10% co-pay discount but you can also choose to pay your full co-pay each time you go. I have now been 3 times a week for over a month and there is absolutely no change in my condition. I am still in severe pain. At first I was told it would be 6 visits until I saw any relief. Then, when nothing had changed after 6 visits it was 12 visits. Now, after 12 visits and still no change all I am told is that it sometimes takes longer. In the past with my other chirpractor (in another city) I saw relief after 2 weeks. I am sure if I continued for 6 months (at $40/visit) I would see some change but to me this practice feels like a money machine. I think they purposefully take a less agressive theraputic approach to keep people coming longer so they can make more money. The staff is all exceptionally nice and the pressure points are a nice stress release but this nice stress release still does not make up for me not being able to walk or perform everyday functions without severe pain. I unfortunately would not recommend the practice to anyone.
