I would highly recommend Midland Mortgage and more so Amber. She was very helpful throughout the process, answering all of the first time buyer questions that I had.

Amber Dean at Midland Mortgage Corp was my loan officer! First off- WOW what an amazing personality! She made me feel like a friend, and not just a client. She was super responsive, any questions I had she responded and explained no matter how many I had. She let me know my options and also about various Down Payment assistance options available in SC that I didn't know about. It was definitely a buyer's market, and even though I put in several offers on different houses she never had a problem with giving me Pre-qual letters and with providing me with the mortgage estimates so I felt comfortable. As a first time homeowner I can't stress how helpful this was so I felt comfortable with my purchase and comfortable knowing not JUST how much house I qualify for- but how much house I can actually afford and not be poor afterwards :) If everyone at Midland Mortgage is as awesome as Amber then you can't go wrong- but I HIGHLY recommend Amber!!
