Harper's Choice Middle School, located in Columbia, Md., is a partnership of students, staff, parents and the community that places an emphasis on a learning climate. Established in 1973, it ensures a middle school experience for more than 550 students in grades six through eight by providing a rigorous and balanced academic curriculum. The curriculum includes various subjects, such as language arts, math, fine arts, algebra, geometry, French, Spanish and reading. Its media center offers students various resources to assist the learning process. Its extracurricular enrichment program includes chorus, art design, yearbook, book club, debate team, television production and teen leadership seminars.
