Incorporated in 1967, Columbia Housing Corporation was founded by a tripartite league of religious organizations that included the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Baltimore, the Combined Ministries ( a Protestant association ), and the Jewish Council of Howard County. In 1978 Howard County community representatives replaced the faith based governing body continuing its goal by providing affordable housing for low and moderate-income families of Howard County.
