I didn't think ot was that bad... The bartender was nice and my drinks were very good.

I'VE SEEN ALOT OF DJ'S IN MY LIFE AND IN THIS TOWN FOR THAT MATTER, I HAVE BEEN GOING OUT DOWNTOWN FOR YEARS BUT MORE RECENTLY JUST HANGING OUT AT THIRSTY PARROT ON THE WEEKENDS. AND THEIR DJ - DJ CHRIS DIABLO IS THE REASON WHY - I'VE SEEN THIS GUY BEFORE HE'S PLAYED ALL OVER THIS TOWN BUT FOR REAL DJ CHRIS DIABLO IS NO JOKE!!!! THIS PAST WEEKEND I GOT A CHANCE TO LISTEN TO HIM SPIN FROM WHEN HE STARTED AT ABOUT 8PM AND FINISHED AT AROUND 1:40 HIS ABILITY TO MIX AND REMIX ALL GENRES OF MUSIC SO SEAMLESS AND HIS SONG SELECTION WAS NOTHING LESS THAN AMAZING!! LIKE I SAID I'VE SEEN ALOT OF DJ'S IN MY LIFE AND THERE IS NOT A BETTER DJ IN THIS TOWN THEN DJ CHRIS DIABLO!!

My wife and I went to the Thisrsty Parrot on July 9, 2008 to see the Springs Contemporary Jazz Big Band. While the band is quite good, the all-hard-surfaces room ensured that the band was INCREDIBLY LOUD. But here's the real problem: We ordered a couple of beers shortly after 6:00pm and, happy hour being from 4-7pm, got them for the happy hour price of $2.50. At 6:35pm I ordered another beer and the waitess said I had to pay the full, non-happy-hour price. When we pointed out that it was still happy hour (6:35pm), she said, "Oh, it's the computer", and insisted I had to pay the full price of $4. I reluctantly handed over the money. Then I discovered that the full price, according to the menu, was $3.50. So not only was I getting RIPPED OFF because it was still happy hour, but she charged more than the menu price! We will NEVER go to the Thirsty Parrot again. Please don't waste your time with this place. There are other establishment downtown that are honest and deserve your patronage.
