When I choose where to do my shopping, I like to think that I'm giving my money to a business with strong ethics and good people in charge. My niece was hired by Tech Excess Outlet. So that she could accommodate the owner's wishes, she spent two weeks sleeping on couches and living out of a suitcase, since she did not yet live in town. One week after moving into her new apartment, the owner, Michael Sharpe, fired her without warning so that he could replace her with a girl that his mom wanted him to hire. The other girl did not have rent or bills to pay, but my niece, who had been working hard and diligently, and who had rent and bills to stress about, was let go anyway. I don't find this to be a business that is run by an honorable man. Mr. Sharpe didn't even have the courtesy to fire her in person. He called her on a weekday evening and told her she was no longer needed. Shame on Tech Excess Outlet for feeling justified in treating someone so poorly.
