We've used Playtime Pet sitters to check in our cat for several trips now, and have been very pleased with them each time! I like that they have many different options for frequency/length of visit, so I can always adjust to make it budget friendly yet still feel like someone will be checking in on her enough for the amount of time we'll be gone. I love getting picture updates from each check in as well! But most of all, I think what shows that they really care for your pet is that they ask you to let them know when you arrive home so that they know your pet is being cared for in the event of an emergency/travel delays and issues. That's a little extra step that I would never have thought a pet sitter would ask for, but to me, that speaks volumes to the level of care they provide to your pets and is one of the many reasons why we'll continue to use PlayTime!

Think about the many things that you (or any other person that cares for your pet(s) needs to know in order to pet sit your furry family member. I've experienced both letting a neighbor come in and going to a professional pet sitter and the professional always wins hands down.

1.) Having software on their website that is fairly easy to input;

2) Gathering comprehensive information FROM YOU that they are going to need to know: what do you want done besides pet sitting, plants? Trash/ newspaper? other people coming in when you're away? home layout for alarms, water, electrical shut offs etc. in case something goes wrong, pets medical needs, food preferences, best time of day, your emergency and day vets phones and location. You'll be surprised how comprehensive this questionnaire is and grateful when the information gathered is there for an emergency.

3. Kerry took a pic of my cats everyday I was gone and texted me status.
She loves to do this.

4. They give you daily written summary of activities (picture attached) and a completion summary too when you get home.

5. I felt that they had all the bases covered so well that while on vacation i didn't worry about my pussycats or my new home.

6. Playtime's form takes time to fill out completely. If you do, they'll give you $5 off their first visit. (Be sure to ask or that when you're paying them.

7. You give them THREE sets of keys that are coded to protect your home location. Two keys are for 2 sitters that may get to know you and your pet if you use them over time, and the third set goes to owner Susan who will ensure that your pets are covered at all times.

8. The First home visit to get acquainted with you, your home, pets and all the details is free.

We moved to COS about a year ago and would be leaving for a vacation a month after moving. One of the first things we had to do after arriving here was to make accomodations for our pets (cats/dogs) while we would be gone. We checked out some local kennels and weren't impressed and then found PlayTime Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers online.
Shortly after leaving a voicemail, I got a phone call from the owner and we set up a meet and greet. I knew immediately upon their arrival that it was going to be a good match. They are very detail oriented, making notes about each animal's eating habits, medical needs, personality, etc. They also got down on the floor with each one to get to know them and give them lots of attention. When the time came for us to leave for our vacation, I felt comfortable and had peace of mind leaving the kids in PlayTime’s care, which was a wonderful feeling. They took great care of them and they sent numerous texts, updates, and pictures of the "kids" while we were gone.
Since that first visit, we have used PlayTime Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers numerous times for short and long vacations and I always feel good leaving them in PlayTime’s care. They always goes the extra mile to meet scheduling needs and spend extra time during visits when they need to coax a shy kitty out of hiding or give special extended attention to the dogs when they're missing their parents.
I would highly recommend PlayTime Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers to anyone; especially the owners that think of their pets as furry "kids" and worry about them when away on vacation. Having peace of mind, knowing they're not only being well taken care of, but also well loved, is priceless!
