Okay

Sometimes you can find something good for an okay price. I once got beautiful BKE stilettos for only $10, but the majority is junk. Worn out, torn, ill-fitting, pilled trash with buttons missing. They wanted $30 for used jeans. I can get them new for a few bucks more. When you sell clothes it's not much better. Wouldn't take my brand new with tags banana republic items. Seriously?

TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT..BUT THEY'RE ONE OF A KIND...

As a well seasoned 'seller' to Plato's Closet (been dealing w/them off and on for 4+ years) I will be the first to say that sometimes you don't feel like their customer service is exactly #1. However, this store is geared towards a post-teen crowd and as such has relatively 'young' sales associates. I take this into consideration when selling there. I personally have found in more recent years (currently included) their sales associates to be more friendly than ever before. Last time I actually tried on clothes there when I stepped out to look in a mirror a very young female voice said "you look AWESOME in those pants"! I found it very sweet (since I don't think I've looked "awesome" in pants in quite a few years especially"!!) They purchase name brands that are less than 1 1/2 years old. They do scan the UPC to determine the 'buyability' and price of an item. Yes, they have a tendency to be a bit 'overstocked' but on the other side of that coin...their selection is, well, AWESOME!. I find their prices to be ok...could be a bit lower but considering how expense 'name brands' are at the dept. stores, I don't think they're astonomical. Where else can you get paid cash on the spot for your used clothing? Not too many places I know of. And what's wrong with changing out the wardrobe you bought 2 months ago at Plator's Closet for a new one at the same place? They do buy back their own items if they are still within the year + date of sale. I personally think Plator's will be around for a long time to come....and so far 4 years of buying/selling there proves me right!
