This is an update from the PhantomDriver review above.I had to have the same problems fixed again, less than 6 months after my original visit to Norbern. I went to Rejouvenater Electronics (http://www.rejouvenater.com/) and had a MUCH better experience for less cost. Time from drop-off to pick-up was less than two weeks, and David was more pleasant to deal with. I'll be going to Rejouvenater for repairs from now on.

I took a receiver in for repair on 26 July. Got the receiver back on 2 August, over five weeks later. It took ten days and two phone calls just to get the first estimate. Granted, they had to order parts twice when the first estimate/fix didn't cure the entire problem, but I think I could have had the parts delivered by mule train in that amount of time. Perhaps they haven't heard of FedEx. I don't know whether this lengthy delay is standard in the local electronics repair industry, but I know I'll try somewhere else next time just to get another data point. Price was OK and the receiver works. It's just the lengthy delay that was worrisome.
