About Life Connections We are a licensed, non-profit child placement agency with more than 40 years experience providing pregnancy, cradle care and adoption services. • Accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) which has set forth a program of quality improvement designed to identify agencies that have set high performance standards for themselves. We want to place children in loving, stable families with sound values and moral principles. •We believe that every form of adoption must center on meeting the needs of the adoptee and that children are best served by preserving their connection to their family of origin. • Catholic Charities is an advocate for open adoption, a form of adoption where the birth parents and adoptive parents are known to one another and have some form of an ongoing relationship. •Children who know their birth parents appear to have a better understanding of themselves and don’t have the abandonment issues as some adoptees do in confidential adoptions. We believe that adoption is a life-long process and we remain a resource to our clients through the years.
