I went in to look at the 2 pistols I was serious about buying so I could compare them side by side. This would be my first pistol purchase. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions. Best of all, they were willing to deal with me on the price of the one I decided on. I got a great pistol at a good price. Check them out!

I stopped by Family Firearms this past weekend after seeing a couple guns for sale that were listed on ArmsList and Gunbroker. I found the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable about the firearms and there wasn't any pressure to buy. I was there for a couple hours (waiting for the CBI check) and they always greeted everyone who came in the door and let them know that if they wanted to handle any of the guns they were welcome to do so. Their prices seemed fair and were often below MSRP. It was cool that they pick up the cost of the background check for you! They're not the biggest store but they have quite a selection of pistols, revolvers, and long guns. Maybe too small a selection of shotguns at this time. They make up for being a smaller store with their helpfulness and attention. I bought two pistols (the new HK VP9 and an M&P) and was very pleased with the experience.
