Special Education program is operated by the Office of Learning Services, which is one of the departments of the Cheyenne Mountain School District. It includes various early intervention programs for the students between the ages of 3 and 5. The program serves students with several disabilities and their peers. It additionally provides training in social and communication skills. Special Education program also provides community-based instruction that focuses on acquiring career skills, developing daily living skills and accessing the community. Its students receive various transition and other services by special education teachers, speech and language pathologists, psychologists, social workers, behavioral consultants and occupational and physical therapists.
