I can't recommend this office highly enough! I was new to the area when I found out I was pregnant and needed an OB. This review is long (sorry) but I wish I had been able to find some good reviews back when I was desperately searching for an OB to see me. Being new to an area, it's tough finding recommendations if you aren't lucky enough to have a personal referral you can trust.

Throughout the past year and a half, the doctors here cared for me when I had pregnancy complications, then a miscarriage, then uterine surgery, and now with my twin pregnancy. I can honestly say that I have never felt so safe and cared for by any doctor, EVER! All of the nurses and certified nurse midwives are very knowledgeable and incredibly kind and caring. Everyone has a smile and is always willing to help and answer questions. I've had to call in and ask questions only about a million times, and I not only always get a prompt call back but the nurses (the awesome Debbie and Sara!) are patient, kind and gracious.

Dr. Andy and Dr. Stephanie have both shown so much personal care and concern throughout the many procedures and hospital stays I've had. I think it's rare for a doctor to be both personable, warm and caring but at the same time very professional and knowledgeable. I trust them 100%! The administrative staff at this office are also very personable and helpful ladies. I often have to bring along my energetic toddler to my appointments and he's welcomed. Many of the ladies in accounting and reception make a point to come out of the office to say hello and ask how we are doing. It's such a welcoming environment! I recently had my mom visit from out of state and she accompanied me to one of my checkups. After a few minutes there, she remarked about what a warm, welcoming, peaceful place it was. Not your typical doctors office. It's just a good vibe that even a visitor picks up on. Expectant mothers who are seen at this office don't always see the same doctor or nurse. This is for your benefit and it works out very well because you can be seen with more flexibility and get the appointments you need. If you have a doctor or nurse you prefer, you can ask to see them specifically! But they are all wonderful and it's reassuring to know that if the OBs need to attend a delivery or something urgent at the hospital, they have a full staff of very professional, competent and caring CPNs/RNs to take care of you at the office. My family and I are SO thankful for everything about this place.

unprofessional!!!

i've been going to blue skies for over 3 years with no problems until recently. i went for one of my pregnancy appointments and had my two year old son with me. my mom and sister meet me there and my 13 year old sister sat in the waiting room with my son while my mom and i went to the back. we come out and find out the office manager KICKED OUT my sister and son. when confronted, this manager took no responsibility, claiming my child was out of control and was indangering himself and other patients. And she claimed she didn't know where or how to find any parents!!!!!! what the hell!!! well i'm done there. so don't go there if you have kids with you!!

VERY RUDE AND UNCARING

I went to this doctors office and the doctor was so rude and cold hearted she acctually made me cry! I was upset about something SHE had messed up on, she then got mad at me, got up and slammed the rooms door. She never even apploigized! I have never been treated so poorly. I am now seeing a new doctor and she is great! She really cares about your pregancy and treats everyone like their pregnancy is her #1 priority which is something i NEVER got with Blue Skies! DONT GO HERE!!

Very Disappointing

A friend of a friend recommended Blue Skies a while back. Unfortunately, I have been seen twice in the last several months and both times have experienced mediocre patient care and attempts to perform unnecessary procedures. BOTH times when I left my appointment, it was never explained that I should expect additional charges for lab fees. When I set up an appointment requesting a particular exam, it wasn't until I was actually in the exam that I was told they had scheduled me for something completely different. I was very disappointed with my experiences and would not recommend Blue Skies.

Negative Experience

While at the time of the exam, everyone was friendly, the unexpected "procedured/protocal" that I have been made aware of after the fact has been very upseting to me. I went to Blue Skies on a referal basis because I had an adnormal pap and needed a colpol done. Low and behold, when I receved the billing information, I saw that they had run another pap. The only explaination is for correlation purposes. I do not have insurance and money is tight. In my mind there is no need to run another pap when the reason why I was there was to just get a colpol. When the gal that had done the procedure called to explain why a pap was done, she had no other reason than for correlation purposes and that was the way she had done it for years and that she tells every patient that she does that. She said it was her word against mine and that it wansn't her job to worry about any of the billing issues. I'm sorry but you are the one that ran a procedure I had no knowledge of that I have to pay for.
