Monarch Community Bancorp is a publicly traded bank holding company based in Coldwater, Mich. It is the primary holding company for Monarch Community Bank, also based in Coldwater. The bank offers banking, insurance, investments and trust services from several offices in the area, and provides mortgage-banking services. On August 29, 2002, Monarch Community Bank converted from a mutually held to a stock-held savings bank. Monarch Community Bancorp has more than $300 million in assets and its shares are publicly traded on the NASDAQ market under the symbol MCBF.
