I went to the Women's Medical Clinic the other day, because I kept getting letters from my doctor at home saying malignant breast, I saw Melissa and her nurse kept asking the pain level in my breast, I said they don't hurt, she kept pressuring me until I pushed on my breast and then I told her a 5 if I push hard, then her nurse kept at it until I told her an 8 and then facetiously I said a 10 or even a 15 at other times, because they wanted something from me after I already said they do not hurt, period!!! But her nurse kept pressuring me not accepting my answer that they do not hurt. Then Melissa proceeded to say I have 2 bright red "polips", on fire.(that was her spelling) so then she wanted me to have surgery and I actually believed her as Dr. Elland had told me I should get a hysterectomy which is a last resort move. Melissa had the audacity to write CON on the page of my referral to have them removed, I am not a con nor do I lie, when I said they do not hurt, I meant that they do not hurt and I feel her nurse pressured me until I said I had pain, Then they referred me to another Dr. Now I will not go back there and now, I need to seek out a third opinion. Due to the fact that I cannot trust them after pressuring me into saying they were painful when they are not painful. In 2010, I was told that I need to have a mammogram every three months, and I needed an ultra sound due to what they believed they had found something and she treated it as if it was a joke in which I do not find funny and it is actually quite scary if you think about it, all these years I have just been ignoring it as I did not want to know if I had cancer or not. I feel that they treated my visit extremely unprofessionally and that I was a brunt end of a joke to them. They left me without any dignity and feeling that it was all a farce. And, I feel that cancer should never be taken as joke as it is real and has taken way too many lives, I lost my Aunt Pauline to breast cancer, so I do not take it lightly. And no one has the right to mess with another's life. I would not have went to see the doctor if I thought it was a joke. I should have never received paperwork from my doctor always saying malignant, as I take it very seriously. And for her to just blow it off as it was nothing; maybe she should work in a field that requires less empathy and compassion as peoples' feelings are real and valid. As, I was depending on her to take what I was told more seriously as it was serious as far as I knew. People have feelings and deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.
