BEWARE! RIP OFF! LIERS! I'll never, ever take another vehicle to Les Schwab Tire Center at 1635 Herndon Ave. They have lied to my family for the last time. They told my wife that her battery was almost dead and needed to be replaced. We didn't, and AAA checked it for us and the battery was fine. It still works months later. Now, a brake job turns out to be a con job. The "Les Schwab Way" is bogus. They insisted that the rotors were bad and couldn't be machined. Wrong! They insisted that the "Les Schwab way" how they do it, is to not only replace your brake pads, but that the calipers must be replaced as well. B__ S__! I've had brakes done many, many times over the years, and never had to replace the calipers. Let's cut to the chase. I warned them over the phone that I would check this out, and that I didn't give a rip about the "Les Schwab way". I want only what needs to be replaced. The guy on the phone insisted that this was the ONLY way they could do the job. I even told them they would lose 4 automobiles, service, tires, etc. if they didn't do it the right way. They wanted over $800.00 for the brake job. I picked up the car and took it to a great mechanic. Guess what? The rotors were machined within proper specs, no calipers needed. The front brakes still had 6,000 to 10,000 miles left on them. No replacement needed. The job was done properly for $425.00. So, they have lost my business, and everyone I ever run into that mentions Les Schwab, is going to hear the truth about this rip off location. They lied, they lost my business and didn't seem care about it. They put making money ahead of doing what is right and fair for me, a repeat customer by the way... Oh, and they charge over $60.00 for an oil change that any place will do for $35.00. When I bought two new tires recently, I asked them to put them on the front and move the front tires to the back. They said no problem. They didn't do it! BEWARE! Hang on to your wallet, and run from this location at 1635 Herndon Ave.

The guys here are fantastic!!! Had popped my tire and pulled into an adjacent parking lot to change it, the jack bent and the car fell forward onto the ground. One of the guys saw my distress and walked over to help, he sent his service guy over to jack up the car and put on my spare (which was flat) then followed me over to the building. They got me right in and replaced all 4 tires, and didn't even charge me for the extra help getting on my spare. It might not seem like much, but to me in my time of need, it meant everything. I will be a continued customer of this fantastic company and wanted to say thank you to the guys at this location specifically for going out of their way to assist me.
