I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Shaw and his entire practice. I first heard about him when I began having some pain while running. My personal trainer and several "gym friends" insisted that there was no better chiropractor than Dr. Shaw; they'd nicknamed him The Shaman because his treatments provided such quick relief. I had never received chiropractic treatment before, but Dr. Shaw made me feel immediately at ease. He was kind and clearly very invested in his patients--he spent a lot of time asking questions and, more importantly, listening to understand exactly what problem I had and how my lifestyle might affect the injury and treatment. And his treatment worked immediately--I physically felt better after the very first visit. Dr. Shaw initially recommended six visits for that injury, but determined I was healed enough after only five. I appreciated that honesty--it would have been easy for him to follow through with the last visit and make extra money. But he chose instead not to encourage unnecessary treatment. A short time later, I was diagnosed with cancer. When Dr. Shaw heard, he personally called to check on me. That support from someone I knew only a little was completely unexpected, but so appreciated. I returned to Dr. Shaw for a few visits a couple months later, when I resumed running. And again, treatment was immediately helpful; I have been pain-free ever since. I have recommended Dr. Shaw to probably a dozen people, and I would never hesitate to do so--the care I received from him, and the service I received from his office and staff, were exceptional.

Dr. Shaw is an amazing chiropractor! He always asks how you are feeling and actually listens to what you say. For me, that is the most important thing any doctor can do. As a result, Dr. Shaw was able to focus his attention on the adjustments I needed each time I saw him and his expertise helped me reach a whole new level of fitness as I trained for my first half-marathon.

When I first went to Dr. Shaw I was suffering from extreme shoulder & neck pain. It had gotten to the point where I could only turn my head about 45 degrees in either direction. This was affecting my sleep, my ability to run, & even my relationship with my husband. With treatment from Dr. Shaw & the exercises he taught me, not only is my pain gone but I have learned from Dr. Shaw how to avoid it in the future. When I have had flare ups, the office was always very responsive & would work me into his schedule usually within 24 hours. If Dr. Shaw hadn't relocated, I would still call on him. I'm hoping I don't have future flare ups because I'm not sure I'll find a doctor as great as him.

My experience with Dr. Shaw have all been great. He really helped me when my dog pulled my shoulder in an abnormal direction. He was patient and took the time to find the nerves in my neck and shoulder and to fix them. As far as I'm concerned, Dr. Shaw has "magic fingers" because he is able to treat conditions when other doctors say there's nothing wrong. Great personality and he cares about his patients. As far as the appt time question is concerned, I always was early so no wait time for me.

I was a patient of dr. shaw in Fredericksburg va. he treated me numerous times for many issues. on each and every occasion I left the office feeling better. he is very personable and caring. I was very upset to hear of his departure as was many of my collegues and friends. I really don't know where to go now for chiro help.

Dr. Shaw is the greatest. I had never used a chiropractor before, but my regular GP, and specialist (an orthopedist) never solved my problem and gave up trying. As a last resort, I walked into Dr. Shaw's office on crutches and thirty minutes later I walked out carrying the crutches under my arm. Since then, he has solved problem after problem for me -- knees, forearms, calves, etc. And for my family members too. Dr. Shaw gets my highest recommendation.

After years of chronic foot pain and multiple surgeries, Dr. Shaw's care allowed me to become an active runner again. His treatment and recommendations were what finally worked for me and I am grateful.

Dr. Shaw was the first Chiropractor I ever saw. He was attentive to my pain and helped me through several injuries to include: ankle, shoulder, hamstrings and hip. I trusted him to provide therapy more than I did my former Orthopedist. The results were faster, on average by 30 days. Dr. Shaw was always kind and respectful along with his staff. I highly recommend Dr. Shaw to everyone.

My first visit to Dr. Shaw was for neck pain. One adjustment and my neck had instant relief. I had suffered for over a year and tried 4 different chiropractors. I'm a massage therapist and have referred so many clients to Dr. Shaw with outstanding results. Dr. Shaw is incredible!!

Dr. Shaw is truly missed here in VA. My family and I went to him regularly for years, whether it was maintenance related or sciatic, back, neck or knee issues. He has always been caring and understanding and somehow knew just where to apply those magical hands. I found Dr. Shaw after I developed hip bursitis three years ago and was certain after seeing several different doctors that no one would be able to help me. Not only did he resolve my issue, but he was able to tackle the multitude of issues that came with an injury-prone runner such as myself. From tight muscles to tendon tears, he was able to resolve all of my issues using a variety of progressive and effective techniques.The best part about Dr. Shaw is that he is a runner himself. This is so important because he relates to your injury both physically and mentally. He truly is a great doctor and I highly recommend him! I was utterly depressed when I found out he was moving away, and jealous of those that have the opportunity to receive his care. I wish him the best of luck in his new office!

I was a patient of Dr. Shaw for about years. I suffered from a dislocated knee-cap which continued to plague me. Dr. Shaw used the Graston technique to break up scar tissue . He also took time to make realignments to my back and hips. He has a wide knowledge of sports and helped me get back into high intensity sports. He is a great Dr.

friendly, efficient staff to start the visit off right and then Dr Shaw's capable, confident approach to finish the visit. Dr Shaw solved my sciatic problem that had plagued me for 7 years!! a miracle if you ask me!
