Excellent educational museum

This museum is a true jewel in Massachusetts! Although the museum is young (founded in 2006) they were able to get the famous Tretyakov gallery of Moscow to exhibit their icons in Clinton. Collection has about 300 icons which are beautifully decorated and in good condition, some of them date back to 1450!!! The facility has a modern design, everything is top-notch there. They have audio tours in english and russian. Staff is very friendly, enthusiastic and willing to answer your questions any time. If you are lucky, you will meet Gordon Lankton, the founder of the museum and the owner of the whole collection. And by the way, you do not need to be religious (Orthodox Christian) or Russian in order to appreciate the fine nature of icons as form of art.

I recommend to visit this museum to everyone! It's incredibly educational and fun :)
