Uptown Hound was recommended to us and though it is an hours drive from home we decided to give them a try.
Callie, Tyler and the entire staff are just wonderful and have taken exceptional care of our boy these last few years.
We are very grateful to Uptown Hound for the great care, and our boy thoroughly enjoyed his many walks, hikes, runs and the time with the kids playing ball in the fields.
Sadly, Rocky is gone now but we will always be thankful to everyone at Uptown Hound for taking such good care of him when we were away and we highly recommend Uptown Hound to anyone looking for a safe, fun place for their dogs to spend the day or week.

Negligent and carelessness are just two words that come to mind.

As the saying goes you can't always judge a book by its cover. Besides having an allergic reaction needing emergency vet care a couple weeks later our fur baby cut his paw and completely tore his toe nail off. I was told it happened on the steel fencing they have. This caused him excruciating and horrible pain as it would anyone. Seeing our baby limp around on three legs for three weeks just broke our hearts. It wasn't until the end of the fourth week of recovering from being injured that he was finally able to put weight back down on his hurt paw.

I was told by one of the owners that he wasn't sure what kind of expectations we had. Really?!? I expect my pet to be loved and cared for in the same way that he is cared for when he is at home. No different than caring for children, their #1 priority should always be your pets safety and well being. "High expectations"? Yes I would have to say I had high expectations.

Uptown hound is by far the best place for boarding your dog's. Callie and her staff go above and beyond to give special care to your pets. My dogs have been 3 times and will definitely be going again. We drive 35 miles and pass several boarding businesses to go here.. They get to play,swim and get love the whole time they are there. I would highly recommend them for your boarding needs and make sure to get them a bath too. They will smell great for weeks.

I went by this facility to check it out before boarding my dog. It was around 2 pm, it was raining and 35 degrees outside. Upon arriving there was on one in the house or the kennel building. The doors were all unlocked. There were several dogs outside in the rain and they appeared to be begging for help. I walked around trying to find someone to speak to. I was getting ready to leave when a man who worked there who said his name was Tyler arrived. I asked him about the dogs being out in the rain and his reply was, they are at day care. I stated again, out in the rain? He did not reply and just walked into the house.

After see this, I would not put my dog at this facility. I went there because someone recommended them. Well, I guess they have not made an impromptu visit during the off hours. This was scary to see and I have called the SPCA to report what I saw.

They take great care of your dog, whether it be boarding, doggie day care or grooming. I have used them for all and am very happy! I can go away and not worry that my furry baby will be well cared for and have a good time.
