awful.awful. Do your own research on insurance billing. I came to East Tennessee Endodontics for a root canal. I have decent dental insurance. After the preliminary quote I decided to put off scheduling services (I wasn't in extreme pain) so I could pay in cash. I finally was able to schedule my root canal and paid my ~$700 in full. I had to return the next day because I had a complicated canal system, they offered free analgesia that day. I left satisfied with the services I received although I could hear Doctor Jensen sarcastically making drinking jokes over my head because the tooth's roots were complicated. Then I got a bill for an additional $722!! I felt like there had been a billing error. One would assume that a quote would adequately account for insurance discrepancies. I called to express my concerns and was told that regardless I had signed & agreed to pay & there was nothing that could be done for me. I went through all that suffering and saving so I could pay for that procedure in advance. I really feel swindled. Do your own research so you don't get screwed.

Root canals can be really scary....especially if you don't have any idea what they actually are. The Doctor made me feel less afraid. He asked me if I had any questions and answered them without making me feel dumb for not knowing about Endodontic Therapy. He told me he didn't want me to hurt and then did the root canal in 45 minutes. I didn't hurt at all! Everyone there is really friendly and made me feel like family. They even called me the next day to see how I was feeling. I hope I don't ever have to have another root canal, but if I do I am going to come back to East Tennessee Endodontics!
