Great place to play pool and just play pool. I agree with the previous entry about the bar boxes - a poor excuse for a pool table. They are good for non pool players or for the young kids that are trying to learn how to play. You will not ever find a good pool player on a bar box - mini table. I also play in the Monday night 9 ball league with a bunch of real gentlemen who are excellent players. Some are always lucky and excellent players,I have never seen any trouble - do to the above - at River City.Wally does an excellent job of running a great pool room.

Great place. They have 6 full size 9' Diamond tables now (April 2013) and a beer lic Not a huge place but big enough - the owner Wally is a good manager and is usually there. No bar boxes - a good thing - go to a sports bar and stay there!! If you like bar boxes you are not a pool player. Actual pool players are at Wally's place. No trouble at River City, in spite of what the song is telling you. For trouble - go to the sports bars, stay there! I play there in a Monday night 9 ball league and it is the best room we have played in since I started in the league about 10 years ago.
