With each bag of food I get, I am taken back to the day when food actually had flavor and it was nutricious. I love that my root veggies come with greens attached. I love washing sand out of my kale, lettuce, mustard and collared greens. The ultimate joy is when I have a little inchworm, bee, slug or any other living creature in the food I am cleaning. If the food I eat is safe enough for them to survive in, it's good enough for me and my family to enjoy. (I always set them free into my houseplants. I don't mind sharing.)
