I wouldn’t say this is the worst law firm in the Cleveland Ohio area, but from everything I’ve heard, Weston Hurd is one of the law firms in the area whose reputation has dropped the most in recent years.They used to have a pretty good reputation, but in recent years, their reputation has dramatically worsened. I’m told part of the problem is with their managing partner-- Carolyn Cappel. I keep hearing that Carolyn is not up to the job, but Weston lawyers are reluctant to confront her. In the meantime, the reputation of Weston Hurd keeps getting worse and worse. It’s sad to watch.

MY REVIEW OF THE LAW FIRM WESTON HURD IN CLEVELAND OHIO: * They are a pretty large firm and have quite a few lawyers, maybe around 45 lawyers in their Cleveland office. ----I found their size to be a good thing...not too big but big enough. * Unfortunately, the several lawyers who I hired were, in my view, generally of inferior quality.----Of the over 30 lawyers Ive hired in my life, I would place the Weston Hurd lawyers in the bottom 10%. * My recommendation is that the typical would-be client should stay away from Weston Hurd. ----However, if there is a lawyer there who specializes in a specific obscure area that youve had difficulty finding lawyers to represent you in, then it may be worth taking a risk to hire the firm. Otherwise, I would strongly advise not hiring Weston Hurd.
