Great class! There is so much more to owning and carrying a gun than you know. Kim Rodecker is an military experienced and knowledgeable instructor with awesome teaching skills. You will also learn from trained military experienced instructors out on the range. There is so much more to owning, carrying and shooting a gun than you realize. Even though this is no longer mandatory, take the course, it is worth it! Plus if you plan to travel out of Ohio and carry, you will need a license. I enjoyed this course and learned so much!

Kim and team provided exceptional training at a time of need. They were professional and provided the 1-on-1 instruction I needed to feel confident in my ability to handle and effectively use a firearm.

Was not sure about class at first. Was ripped off from one of these classes once. As a former marine i decided to try this class. I am glad i did. These marines are truly professional. If you do not learn from these guys then you should not get a CCW you are not ready, and if you are not ready they will not pass you. Thry are hard but first class. Please take this class. All others are just others are just out to get your money.

As a new person to recreational and home defense gun ownership, I felt the class time was informative but I wish we had have gone over more actual gun handling before range time.
My instructor on the range was Mike and he was awesome. He took time with me to make sure I was ready for each step, and his encouragement was so needed. My boyfriend's instructor was Bob and he was equally happy. As a natural lefty, Bob helped him learn a new way to grip his weapon that he is very comfortable with. And we got to take our targets home with us. I hope I don't have to use my new knowledge, but am looking forward to more practice time on a range and am really glad Kim provides this course and those instructors to us novices as well as those with experience.
Thank you all.

The outdoor range is safe and properly disciplined. The one on one instruction is invaluable. Without this form of instruction, safety will be compromised. I would recommend this training course, and intend to get further training from them. I would like to thank my instructor for taking the extra time that I needed on range day.

Kim Rodecker was a great instructor. My range instructor, Jason Soca, was patient and very informative in helping me improve on my abilities. My wife and I are very glad to have taken this course.

Michael Buchanan, my range instructor, was excellent. Having never shot a weapon, he calmed my fears and taught me a lot. The entire course was excellent for a novice like me.

My husband and I just completed the Concealed Carry Course. What a great course! We highly recommend this course. Kim and his men are wonderful. You can tell they love and live what they are teaching. Ron and Kim taught the class and we learned a lot. Mark is in charge of the shooting range and takes his job very seriously(as he should ...thank God). Everything on the shooting range went smooth and was safe. Mike was our instructor on the shooting range and did a excellent job teaching us how to shoot a gun properly and purchase one. They even accommodated my broken foot to be able to complete the course. Thank-you guys. We appreciate all you do.

I recently completed the course.

Was most impressed with the way in which Sgts. Rodecker and King stressed the importance of:

Respect for the weapon and the laws which govern its use;

Responsibility in the way we conduct ourselves in daily life;

Common sense in the manner we handle potentially life-changing situations.

The firing range experience was excellent. I finished my work rather quickly, thanks to the expertise and patience of mentor Sgt. Paul Montgomery.

As a 76 y.o. who has some background in firearms, I would strongly recommend the program to any senior (or anyone else) who is interested in improving their sense of security and self-assurance.

Finally, after completing the course, I felt a renewed sense of pride in having served in the U.S. military many years ago.

Very glad I took this course...Thumbs up guys! Class time with Kim & Mark was informative and thorough; solid instruction and information (along with a few laughs). I came away from the class with more knowledge than when I walked in. Range time is all business with strict guidelines- I find that in its self comforting. You know they’re here to teach and to do it safely. I was placed with Mike on the range…awesome guy, can’t say enough! I had never shot one handed much less left handed (have to admit I was a bit nervous about that), he instructed & guided me in a way that made me comfortable and respectfully eager to try and to do well. If you’re considering taking a course check them out!

If you are looking for a thorough, exciting, informational experience in getting your CCW, this is the place. I have to admit, I was a little intimidated by Mr. King when signing up. My husband and I signed up anyway and took the long 10 hr class. It was very informative even for my husband who thought he knew everything already. We missed the schedule 2 hr range day due to work. We were able to call Mr. King and set up a personal 2 hr range day. I couldn't have walked away happier after that day. Mr. King was an EXCEPTIONAL instructor. In order to make it through this course you have to listen and be able to take constructive criticism. If you cannot, this is not for you. I will definiately be taking another course with Mr. King. His personal range day was the highlight of my weekend. Thank you!!!

I am a novice, and my initial ...

I am a novice, and my initial reasons for choosing CCC was/is because the instructors are Marines, and the one-on-one range training. i got much more than my money's worth, and so will you. The instructor Sgt King, is strict, but not without a sense of humor....which I see hasn't been mentioned in other reviews. If you listen, have the attitude that you want to learn, you will do fine. The range time was excellent, and I came away with drills I will use going forward. I plant to take advanced training for CCC as well. To summarize, these are the instructors you want to have.

Despite all the 5 star reviews here, I took the CCW class in November (13) and found six of my eight in-class hours a complete waste of time. The primary instructor (let's just say a real man's man or King) had no written agenda, no real desire to see you become proficient in gun use, law, defensive situations, etc. Instead, class time was about clock hours and Mr. King's personal feelings about the world around him. Real instruction occurred from the two NRA books we were asked to read before class and answer open book questions about, a video shown in class, a guest speaker, and, of course, the ex-service members who really taught us how to use a gun at the range during the final two hours of the 10 hour course. Rodecker has commented about the reviews here saying so and so is using a false name. But my wife and I were present for Mr. King's classroom instruction and can only recommend that "he take a dirt nap" and potential students find another training organization. Mr. King's attitude, lack of desire to really teach, and drill sargent mentality give the Corps and the NRA a bad name.

I took the CCW course with Concealed Carry Courses, LLC finishing-up on Sunday, 2-23-14. They are there to make sure you learn all the essentials to obtain your CCW in a safe and knowledgeable manner. They may come-off has being tough but at the same time they are very nice and helpful. The marines at the shooting range were a hoot before the shooting started but were all business after it started. I wouldn’t want anyone else teaching me. I have been around guns for many years being a hunter but was still a little nervous at the range. My instructor did not put any undo pressure on me. All the pressure came from within because I was determined to shoot well. In the end, my instructor said I shot well and I should be proud. Thanks, Jason. Also, thank you Kim and Mark.

my Wife and myself went to the Class together I'm an experienced shooter and my Wife is a novice, I have had 8 years working in Law Enforcement and 8 years in Private Security. I can honestly saw that I have learned more in this class than I have in the past and they had the patients to teach a novice shooter who only shoot 3 times in her life. We have both learned a lot in this class and recommend them Highly to anyone wanting to learn more more about firearms and self defense.

I shopped around for over a year looking at CCW training. I found Concealed Carry Courses to provide everything that I was looking for. Good training, inexpensive and one on one instruction at the range. Each instructor is a Marine (non-active duty) and can be rough around the edges, and they like to enjoy themselves. But when training and firearm safety is required, they are all business and patient with the students. Their requirements are high but for a good reason. They want every student to be able to survive a confrontation and make the bad guys be carried away on stretchers. I fully, emphatically and without reservation recommend them if you have never touched a firearm before OR shoot competitively. If you are looking for the right way to learn, take this course.
