Ali Khawaja, MD, is an assistant professor of medicine within the division of pulmonary, critical care & sleep medicine. He received his medical degree from The Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan, and completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Following his residency, he completed his fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to joining UF Health, Dr. Khawaja was an assistant professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.Dr. Khawaja is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, American College of Physicians and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.Dr. Khawaja was voted as the 'Attending of the Year' by the Internal Medicine residents for his Excellence in Teaching for the academic year 2021 - 2022.
