I have used O'reilly Auto Parts stores for years. This Clemmons location is by far the worst as far as customer service. I have had three bad experiences. The first time I went in to get some transmission fluid. There was one associate helping two customers at the counter and another one just standing there. I stood there with the transmission fluid at the counter for 10 minutes. No one said a word to me. I finally went and put the Fluid back, and walked by the counter. The man was still helping the customers and the other still standing there as if he was a mute. No one said anything as I walked out. A second time I was sent over by my mechanic to get a part. Bob the counter associate was very rude. I was told my part was going to be $67.00 and by the time I got there it was $87. I asked Bob why, and he said well I looked it up through the shop account. I told him I wasn't paying 20 dollars more than I was quoted and he cursed at me and mumbled and finally changed the price. Absurd. After all this I thought I'd give them one more try (3 strikes your're out!) so I went back when I needed something else. I went in to get a bottle of diesel treatment and went to the counter. The sales associate (Aaron maybe?) started to ring me up for my one item. I had a $20 dollar bill out to pay. Then the phone rang. He answered it and it was a garage wanting to know weekly specials. He tells them all the specials, looks up a clutch kit, and then starts chit chatting. He yells for the manager and a manager named John comes up to the counter. John is unhappy and tells Aaron that he's a manager and doesn't belong on the floor. Odd. When I worked retail I had to be on the sales floor as manager. Then John starts ringing up people behind me. After 18 minutes of standing there, my father and I left. Not a word was said to either one of us. I will continue to go to O'reilly stores elsewhere, but if you are in Clemmons you better go to Advance.
