My wife's car started running rough, check engine light was on, so we took it there. They replaced the catalytic converter and two O2 sensors at a cost of $1056. The day after picking it up, it started the exact same problem. They towed it back, kept it 2 days, then claimed an O2 sensor hadn't been plugged all the way in, and said it was good. The next time we drove it, SAME PROBLEM ! Autozone read the code as Cylinder 3 misfire. I replaced a spark plug and coil in about an hour, at a cost of $50, and the problem is now resolved. I'd done business here before, but NEVER AGAIN. You've lost customers for life.
Had your technician bothered to test drive the car more than 2 blocks up Eastern Blvd. after "fixing" it, they'd have realized it wasn't fixed. Even if your code reader was having issues, you could have taken it to Autozone or somewhere else to have it read or to buy a code reader, then maybe you could have done your job right.
