Fun place to hang out with friends and get drinks. They usually have a live band playing and for such a small place, the sound system is pretty decent.

A large and fun place to meet with friends to have a drink and play pool or darts. Great digital jukebox. Bands start at 9 on weekends. Love it here!

knowledge of laws

The manager/owner, Steve, refused to accept my military ID card as acceptance of proof of my age to enter his establishment. He proceeded to advise that he knew the law and that the law stated that a military ID was not an acceptable form of ID. He was belligerent and rude about the matter and when confronted, walked away without concluding the conversation.

I feel that I was disrespected, and that the manager and his employees are uninformed and ignorant of the law. Apparently, in order to enter this establishment, you must also carry with you a copy of the applicable law to prove that your military ID is indeed a legal form of ID (law copied, in part, below).

Effective January 1, 2010, Assembly bills 59 and 1191 will become law and amend Section 25660 as follows (new provisions are in bold):

"Business and Professions code section 25660.

a. bona fide evidence of majority and identity of the person is a document issued by a federal, state, county or municipal government, or subdivision of agency thereof, including, but not limited to, a motor vehicle operator's license, and identification card issued to a member of the Armed Forces that contains the name, date of birth, description, and picture of the person, or a valid passport issued by the United States or by a foreign government.

b. In the event an identification card is used to a member of the Armed Forces is provided as proof of majority and lacks a physical description, but does include date of birth and a photo, further proof of majority shall not be required.

c. Proof that the defendant-licensee, or his or her employee or agent, demanded, was shown, and acted in reliance upon bona fide evidence in any transaction, employment, use, or permission forbidden by Section 25658, 25663 or 25665 shall be a defense to any criminal prosecution therefore or to any proceedings or the suspension of any license based thereon."

great service

I had herd from some friends that corner pocket has pool for $3 on Sunday night so I called some friends up and said lets go. I was a little nervous at first because it was back in the corner and I had never been their before. I had let the bouncer know that this was my first time their, he let me know where everything was (I thought that was great). I walked up to the bar and the bartender was in a conversation with another customer he excused himself and walked over to me and helped me out. I had the best drink ever and the sad thing is I don't even know what it was called. I asked him for some balls to play pool with and he sent me over to this other man and he was so sweet I had gone to the wrong table and he was so nice to just switch balls so that we didn't have to move I thought that was very thoughtful. Than this bubbly waitress came up and introduced herself and told us that if we needed anything to just wave and she will come running, and you know what it really worked. I was watching her interact with other customers and she made me giggle because she was so sweet. When it was time for me to leave I believe all the employees told me to have a great night. All the employees seemed to be having a fun time and worked great with each others personalities. I will defiantly be coming back real soon. It is so nice to feel welcomed to a new place.

not very friendly

the bar tenders are very cool there but you still have to put up with bouncers. We were forced to leave 15 min. before closing. We did not get to finish our pool game or finish our beers. There was no last call. A bouncers friend was outside harrassing others, fallowed by the bouncer who started to provoke us also.after being threatened by both they chased after our cars. The owner should be notified of the bouncers actions, for he is responsible for anything occuring on the property. Bouncers are to stop fights from happening, not to bring friends to start them. We'll never be going back there for anything, and I don't recommend this place to anyone that's not looking for trouble.
