There are good stylists at Identity, but the customer needs to be careful. I have caught them overcharging me twice (for conditioning treatments that I told them I did not want when I made the appointment). The last girl who did my hair accidentally told me that sometimes the salon doesn't have the correct hair dye colors in supply at the salon and the stylists have to improvise. Looking around the salon, it looks very poorly kept, with peeling paint and cabinets with lose handles. A few times before I caught on, I wasn't able to schedule with my stylists and had other stylists do me. Both times, the stylists were rude, almost surly----like they were doing me a favor doing my hair. I pray my stylist leaves for another salon so I don't need to return to Identity. There are some big problems with this place,

The most-expensive worse experience that I have ever had and I have been to a lot of different spas.

We had a mother/daughter day at the spa. There were six of us. Did pedicure, manicure, facial and massages. The girls were very disorganized. The manicure did not even last the whole day for three of us. It was not relaxing at all or enjoyable since we were rushed from one area to the next. I think they tried to get too many people in and did not have enough staff. They also were doing another large group. We called to complain the next day. The offered us 1/2 off but none of us felt like spending hundreds of dollars more. I would not recommend this salon at all.

The salt scrub was nice.

There were no "cover-ups" to go under our robes (for our facials), and when we informed the hostess, her response was "Well good luck with that." The hair stylist ran about 45 minutes late, and I had to keep checking on the appointment...the hostess should have been doing this for me. Then the stylist had to search quite a while for a smock and towels. Her station was filthy...cut hair all over the floor, dirty towels on her counter, combs and brushes in disarray. She did not listen to me describe how I wanted my hair styled, and it ended up being a '60's "bubble." I have about $30 left on a gift certificate, and I'm throwing it away. I will never go back. I left more stressed out than when I went in. It was not a "spa" experience at all.

My experience was poor

I went to Identity the day before my wedding to get a set of acrylic nails and a pedicure. I will never go back. To make a long story short: 1) my nails were $20 higher than they quoted me when I walked in. 2) I waited for 45 minutes---apparently the pedicurist was late. 3) The pedicure was a disaster. The footbath was covered in old nail dust and the buffing was quick and hasty (traces of my old polish were left behind). I picked a polish (sheer light pink) and the woman tried to apply it 3 times unsuccessfully. She told me the polish was old and tried to find another bottle. She could not find it, so I picked another color. Not suprisingly, my nails were chipping the next day---my wedding day. Lesson learned.
