CLOSED NOW - Opens at 11:30am

My family came here 2 years ago on three seperate occasions. The place is very run down, paint chipping, no pretty landscaping, wood splitting, old old old. We came b/c it's the only putt putt place near our home. I did notice last year (2007) they invested in new plants and flowers, and did a great job sprucing up the place. I think they also repainted the place and added a few cute haning things from the trees. Didnt get to go last year when i noticed the change....but did go last week (6/1/08). They open at 11am. We got there a few minutes til 11. NO ONE was there! Finally at 11:10 a teenage girl showed up and said she didnt have a key and "didn't know when the manager would get there" then she proceeded to talk on her cell phone. She couldn't have cared less that we were there. Upon our waiting for someone to open the place, we checked it out and again it looks old and run down. The wooden beams that hold up the awening, where you pay for your clubs are rotted. (doesnt seem too safe) On their website it boasts of a fun boat area, kind of like paddle boats but has water shooters attached that you can have water fights with the other boaters. Once again this year, the "pool" of water is a filthy mess. Algea, leaves, brown water! They need to take the pictures off their website as they are so not accurate. (when we went 2 yrs ago the water was the same brown mess, no one boating). After waiting a few more minutes we decided to leave. I think I'll drive the 25 minutes and go to Fairfield's Golf Mountain this year. If the manager/owner isn't motivated enough to get there on time and make the place nice I'm not motivated to give them my money.

On the upside, the ice cream is good and a nice gazebo to sit in while eating. 1 - 1/2 stars.
