My experience started out normal enough - had trouble with the door sticking so I decided to contact A&E Door. I hear them all the time advertising so figured they were reputable. I explained in great detail what the problem was - the manager schedules a service call. On the way to my home the tech called me and I explained what the problem was as he very quickly told me exactly what the problem was. It was a very common problem with garage stores sticking to the paint as the hot sun bakes the door. Each time the door is opened they make a loud jerk and then the door works as usual. My problem with this entire experience is that the Manager, as well as several others copied on my email, failed to give me this quick and easy solution (rub some grease where the door meets the frame). It would have saved me from calling off work, and from the $100+ they charge for a consultation.

$100 for less than 5 minutes of their time is much more than any other profession I know of and seemed very high. That did not bother me though, what bothered me was that they scheduled an appointment knowing very well what my problem was...knowing it was a very easy solution, something that a child could have done.

This is was a very deceptive and unethical way of doing business. I would rather pay $200 to an honest worker/company for their knowledge than $100 to a deceitful company trying to nickel and dime me in every way possible.

I'm sure there must be better A&E locations, but around the Mason, OH-Warren County area, I would highly recommending going with a different company. if you know there's a huge problem, call A&E, but do not call them for a minor issue as they will gouge you.

Oh, last but not least, I contacted the manager, he replied but then failed to reply after a month and a half of waiting. Very disrespectful considering how nice my email was. Do business with a company that wants it :)

When we built this house 24 years ago we had garage doors put on TWICE in a year. Insulating kept falling out. Now we called AE Door & Window and had new doors put on. The garage is warmer, even the basement feels warmer without all that cold air in the garage. Shame we didn't learn this earlier. Service was great. Everything explained about the doors and the operation of the openers. Even the call back was very considerate. Thank You AE Door. Shirley

Called the Sharonville store yesterday; a representative was here today for routine maintance on our garage door. There is so much difference in the mechanics and the sounds. We are extremely pleased and will use A & E door and Windows in the future. Note: DO NOT call their 800 number. The man I talked with had a thick accent which I could not understand and became confrontational when I asked to speak with someone who's native language is American English. I was on hold for 25 minutes before I hung up. Just contact the store nearest to you for the best service..

It would be hard to fine any negatives. Sales Rep. was on time and covered all details. He took the time to ensure I understood each item that needed repair. He placed the order for the necessary parts while still at my home. On the day of the repair. The service tech. was a little early (yes I said early). He explained all parts of the repair job before he started, during the job and after he was completed. I normally get 3 bids on any job for repairs. But, now I will need only one.
