i ordered a new front door from Defender Doors and, when it arrived it was not as ordered. Defender stood by their work, however, and saw that the correct door was received and installed. They were courteous, honest, and reliable throughout. Use them!

There have been a lot of break -ins in my neighborhood lately and while I have perfectly good patio doors, I was concerned about how secure they were (that's how they got in to my neighbor's house) and so I called Defender because a neighbor recommended them.

The guy came out and I wound up getting some patio security storm doors ( I never even knew there was such a thing!) Well, they are just beautiful!! I didn't have to replace my patio doors & these really are just fantastic! I don't have to worry about leaving the house and they do look incredible. I highly recommend them for anyone who has patio doors and is worried about safety/security.

Jim was great ( he was the guy who came out and put my new doors up) and he really did a nice job. Both him and his helper answered all my questions and they didn't make a mess in my house or my yard ( a problem I've had with other companies...). They didn't leave a bunch of junk behind and made sure everything was spotless before they left.

Really just a great job and a company I'd do business with again.

They only delivered the door after I challenged the charge on my credit card. They have never brought the screen for the door they owe me and have NEVER called back after numerous calls trying to find what happened to the screen which should have been part of the original order. A failure in customer service!

I called Defender on the recommendation of a friend/neighbor and bought 2 doors from them. I had other companies come out and give me estimates as well, but Defender was able to do the work right away ( other companies wanted me to wait 3-6 weeks and I had a break in so... let's just say turn around time was important! ). They did a great job and I'm more than happy with the price - they had a sale going at the time, so I don't know if the prices are always as good as what I got them for, but I definately got a good price considering what other companies wanted and I got my doors up right away, so I definately recommend them!

I ordered a door from Defender Steel Door on November 5th. I was promised that it would be installed on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I paid a 340.00 deposit using my bank card. The door was not delivered. I waited a week and called them up. They said the door would be there before Christmas. There was an issue in production since it is an oversized door. Okay. Christmas came and went-no door. Then, I was promised that the door would be delivered on January 4th. Still, no door. Well, on January 13th, I looked at my online bank statement and lo and behold, the company charged my debit card for the remaining 670.00 WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION! The door was not even on my house yet! I called them and asked for the charge to be reversed. I called my bank to have it stopped. Too late.



The moral of the story is this: Once they have your card, they feel justified in just taking your money before they deliver the services. What I find really reprehensible is that they knew that I was angry and went ahead and charged my account to make sure they were paid whether I was satisfied or not.
