I've taken my daughter, myself and my Mom for services there. We've been pretty happy. We all have the same company for insurance with the exception that under Delta two of us are PPO and then HMO. My mom's ins didn't cover the deep cleaning as well as our policies. So she had to pay more. But, overall we've had good experiences. The front desk secretary, Laura is very nice. They've been pretty thorough about what's covered by the ins. Only problem is with there beign three of us, sometimes I get a little confused. We're satisfied at the present time and I do like the fact that they have appointments available later in the day which works with my hectic schedule..

Don’t know whats up with esl...

Don’t know whats up with esl teach, but when I'm getting charged for something I know how much will cost and if I get a bill thats wrong, I'll call to get it corrected. Surprising esl teach AND her friend were both overbilled. Also, surprising how esl teach posted reviews of 3 dentists ALL on the same day. You sure get around, maybe you got your dentist confused. But it looks to me, like you're making fake complaints about my dentist, someone I trust, so I went though the pain of making an account and logging on to respond to you.

Not that I'm Dr. Meigs' best friend, but I have been a long time customer, she's been a dentist for over 25 years. ESL teach is insulating and couldn't be more wrong. She insults everyone by claiming her and her friend got overbilled. If my friend is seeing the same doctor as me, its because I recommended the doctor to her or vice versa. ESL Teach, that means I like the doctor, not that the doctor "seems ok". It would be really unusual that friends pick the same doctor without referring each other. So your "seems ok" comment "seems" like BS to me. And, if I'm getting screwed by a business, neither my friend or me will remain customers long enough for BOTH of us to get screwed. Get a new friend if your unbelievable BS is even remotely true, her dumbness has rubbed off on you. And ESL Teach, you "seem" to be trying to tell everyone that overbilling is a common occurrence. I have never had this issue with Dr. Meigs and what company would try to get money out of its customers by overbilling everyone ? You dont have deep pockets and they would lose you as a customers. Then you make 3 different dentist reviews in one day, please. You must think we are all as stupid as you are. ESL you have recourse, call them to get it corrected, make a complaint to the BBB or dental boards... oh that means you have to admit who you are, instead you come to some random website to spew your BS.



For the rest of you, Dr. Meigs staff lets me know what services are not covered by insurance before I get the service. Dah. They have always been accurate and flexible on payments. Dr. Meigs is more than just "ok", I recommend her to my friends and surprise, none of us have been overbilled. ESL Teach, I really dislike people who have the ability to flame businesses with fake complaints. By posting 3 dental reviews on the same day and saying BOTH you and a friend got overbilled by a dentist who "seems ok" - you've made yourself look like an idiot and I called you on it. Flame me back, please.



Seriously, ESL Teach, contact Dr. Meigs office, if the staff cant help you, talk with Dr. Meigs, never pay an overbill and run off to another dentist ? If you really got overcharged, call them. Next time I see Dr. Meigs I'll let her know about your flame on this website. I'm sure she'll be more diplomatic.

Dr. Meigs seems to be an okay dentist. However, I and a friend both had a bad experience with this office, as we were overbilled. After that we both found another dentist.

eslteachjw, I was told about your complaint by another patient, so I researched before coming here to reply. My staff and I have reviewed all patient files and billing from Nov 08 until you posted your reply on 15 March 09. We can not find any mistakes in services performed, fees charged or incorrect insurance codes, for any of my patients. Further, I have never received any billing complaints from patients or errors with insurance company, since I've been in business. All patients that were seen between Nov 08 and March 09 have been back to the office, have made new appointments or have talked with my staff about checkup visits. I can not find any patient from Nov 08 to March 09 who has left or complained about billing or services. If it was a bill from your insurace company and not from my office, it would be their error, which I have no control over. Please, contact my office at (619) 656-9713. Also, tell your friend to contact me. Having two patients, that know each other, with the same problem at the same time and neither calling about it and not have any other patients with this issue is very unusual, so give me a call.

Great service- I finally found the only dentist for my family

My husband broke his tooth during a weekend football game. After getting the voicemail at our regular dentist telling us to call back on Monday, I recalled a friend telling me about the dentist she takes her special needs teenager to, Dr. Ana Meigs. We called Dr. Meigs' office at 4 pm on a Saturday and got her direct phone number. She had her office open and was waiting for us, 15 minutes later !!!! I could not believe it, how wonderful to have this level of customer service in this day. About an hour later, my big baby of a husband was all better. Now he only sees Dr. Ana. Not sure if its her e 20+ years of skill or that smile and personality of her's he likes the most. If Dr. Ana can keep my husband in line then working on my kids ought to be a breeze. One moment of great customer service has my entire family hooked on Dr. Meigs. My mom, who speaks only Spanish, has her work done with Dr. Meigs.

Great location by the Costco off H St, easy to get to from our home on the west side of 805 or from Eastlake. Spanish / English speaking. Most insurance, good rates, flexible payments. Clean, uncrowded & relaxing office - no high stress cattle car office this one.

Took me 32 years to find this dentist, I'm not letting her go.
