Rick and his Dad Tony Melendez ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED. They make sure you are in contract and fees are fully paid knowing that they have concealed something that should be revealed, they make deliberate statements about material facts about their fees that Rick and Tony knows to be false and on which Tony and Rick intends the clients to rely on to the person detriment. When they are in the middle of your case they up their fees for work that you already paid for. They do not complete the necessary work or delay the process; for example they come up with new fees and wont complete if you do not pay the new fees. I will always have to call in for status and his dad will threaten me that they will charge me for every phone call I make to them. So how else was I suppose to know status of my case? His dad would be verbally combative when I tried to ask questions about the status of my file. I showed up with peace officer to ask for money back, Tony and his son did not know where the money was. His dad falsely claimed to the officer they had wired the money, than his son Rick Melendez "remembered" he mailed it out. When I go the check he scammed me for $500 for doing nothing. Be careful with his fees he wont hesitate to charge you hidden fees.*** I strongly recommend to go somewhere else for legal advice and services.*** I'm currently having an investigator from the state bar in the office of admissions audit his office for fraud and misrepresentation. DO NOT FALL VICTIM to Rick and Tony Melendez's fraudulent and misrepresentation intents. Tony Melendez recruits senior clients so I wont doubt that his taking advantage of local seniors an elderly. When I was there his office was filled with them and Tony will come out introducing himself like the attorney when he knows he can not practice law because he is not an attorney. Tony the father takes all the fees. His son Rick is the actual attorney that works with his dad Tony.

Mr. Melendez is a wonderful attorney. If you do have to file for bankruptcy I would say hire him. He is a guy who knows his stuff. I was in a bad time in my life and had to file in my 30's due to divorce. I was dealing with a lot of things all at once and forgot to completed the second portion of my course for my bankruptcy. Mr. Melendez help me reopen my case and completed it in a timely manner, so i could move on with my life. Thanks again for all you did.
