It would have given them more stars because the pool seems fine so far apart from the plaster is very patchy looking and a crack in the coping that Kevin says is normal and not really fixable! I'm just hoping the pool holds up better than their after sales service. The job took a couple of months with a 2 week period in the middle where nothing much was going on but it was finished pretty much on time. I called Kevin numerous times asking him to 1. grade the rock hard lumpy earth left beside the pool by the Bobcat, he never did and 2. give me a demo of how to maintain the pool and equipment. Eventually he just gave me the number of the pool guy and told me to call him. Not a good way to get referrals.

Sapphire pools is a small pool construction company owned and ran by Kevin Hunter. Kevin is very professional and reliable. Kevin put all of my requests in writing to eliminate any confusion and built my pool within a month. Kevin answered all of my questions regarding the process and was very honest about the process. I am very happy in the pool construction process and the service I am still receiving regarding questions I have on pool maintenance. It is refreshing not to have to deal with a salesperson who then will have to communicate what you agreed upon to the contractor. With Sapphire, you only deal with Kevin and he makes the process as painless as possible. Even his construction crews were very respectful of the residents during construction. I would recommend Kevin for any of your pool needs. He is very knowledgeable, easy to work with, reliable, and is very fair with pricing. Our pool was built in a month with no issues and everything on the contract was delivered.

I recommend getting 2-3 bids from other contractors before calling Sapphire so you can appreciate what they have to offer. Our pool came out 10 times better than our original plan and most importantly on time and within budget.



What I liked best about them was that they executed each stage of the construction on time with outstanding communication. My wife Estel says what she liked best about our pool construction was the creativity that was used to make the pool/spa blend into our backyard and how quick everything happened with evidence of quality.



The pool did have a water feature leak two months after construction (this is what inspired me to write this review). The owner showed up with a crew to fix the leak on New Year’s Eve. That to me proved integrity, responsibility and a commitment to quality.



I believe Sapphire Pool and Spa to be a recommended contractor.
