We just moved into our new Epick Home two weeks ago and could not be happier!!! I purchased a new home in housing development 15 years ago and it was 180 degree different experience! Our previous home was outfitted with the cheapest fixtures, cabinets, flooring, and items possible; where in comparison, the base level of quality products used in Epick's homes is MUCH higher quality and we've been so happy. They bent over backwards to accommodate each upgrade we wanted, and we are IN LOVE with our new home. I read some of the negative reviews, and you have to know, if you decide to purchase a new semi-custom home, that you need to be very involved in the process. Keep a binder, be sure everything is writing and that you communicate as much as possible. They are extremely busy and you need to really be a good record keeper and advocate for yourself in your home buying process.



That being said, any little thing that we found upon moving in, they are more than willing to fix and are extremely prompt and cordial. They bend over backwards to make certain we are happy with your finished product, can contact them regarding anything, and will go above and beyond what most other builders in town will do to be sure of that.



Let's be honest, this is you HOME. Even if any of the things said about the realtor and other items were true. You just can't compare the quality of their homes and their home warranty with ANY other Chico builder. I'm an accountant and research these things meticulously! Would you rather deal with a few frustrating things (if that was the case) and have a beautiful, high quality home in an amazing location; or have a lower quality home in a less desirable location??? In the end, whether you get along with you realtor or not - its your home you'll live in for a long time! On that note also, there's really great people living here - so, on a personal and selfish note - only purchase one of their homes if you're a nice person who wants to be in a great neighborhood!



Regarding the location - you just can't beat the location of their current development at Sycamore Creek. We moved from Hancock park, that is adjacent to the Epick development and we purposely decided to stay in this location because we have loved it SO much for 15 years! A few minutes walk and you are back at the mini canyons, foothills, jogging trails, off leash dog paths, and the back way to walk to Wildwood Park and upper park. Yet, about a mile away (perfect for a nice bike ride, is Safeway, restaurants, yummy frozen yogurt and the AMAZING Mexican ice cream place. Close to everything, near the foothills and beautiful walks/jogs - you cannot beat it.
