The hours for the facility constantly change. There is a pool at this facility But the hours do not correspond to customer demand. On Saturdays and Sundays during the hottest months of the year there has been a substantial reduction in hours for the pool. This is because of the facility's manager named Amanda, and not the needs or desires of the customers. Local Private Gym's are better. They actually have operating hours and increasing membership for less than they are charging at this facility. There is always up to 4 employees at this facility when there are at most maybe 6 members at this location during the Day. I have never seen Amanda sweep or Mop, and with 4 employees what actually is she getting paid for, to manage them??? Teaching a singular class to seniors for a hour a day and that warrants a 8 hour paycheck? It is not coincidental that all the times for swimming for anyone except when she is teaching her class have been cut short. If the pool is available and people know they will come, but if you keep changing the hours of course the will not. The locker rooms are always a mess. All other YMCA's in the area are cleaner use almost the same amount of people to maintain them and have better hours. You are allowing this facility to blemish the reputation of the YMCA and the reduction in membership is a direct result because of one person, Amanda. The numbers do not lie. in areas that the facility is run in a professional manner and not a demagoguery to appease only a select few of the higher mangers or supervisors(or whatever position Amanda holds). Because if the only reason she has a position is because of one class and the potential of increased membership of the facility is dismissed you are being foolish. The YMCA was set up to serve the community or has this changed to just serving the will of Employees with a over exaggerated level of importance in the greater scheme of delivering the YMCA's Vision? She does not work well within the faculty.
