I have to say that of all the management companies I have dealt with, WTRM is the best!

I lived in a 2 br for 5 years, when it was time to move to a smaller apt., they were very accommodating about letting me sign a lease and then move to a smaller unit.

Folks complained about the 2 washers and driers on each side of our building; we now have 3 new washers and driers on each side; yes, they are more expensive than the old ones but they not only work, no more quarters.

The rent went up each year I was in my old apt. However, it is on par with other apartments in the area and never an astronomical amt. from year to year. And the amenities are better than any other location.

The office staff (especially Valerie) have been amazing and receptive. Repairs happen in a timely manner.

My electricity is included in my rent, power was shut off for 5 days, WTRM hadn't been paying the bill, they did nothing. The boiler went out last winter. We had been without heat for 3 days before they sent out an email telling residents what was going on. 5 days without heat, they did nothing. Today I went down to do laundry, but the laundry machines were gone. Note in the laundry room explains that we are getting new machines and will be without them for 13 days starting today. Assistant property manager said it has been up for five days, I did laundry six days ago. Only notice in the building was the laundry room, and no calls or emails. How long does it take to replace machines? Also, the building's front door rarely locks, the trash pickup not maintained, the 5 minutes it takes for water to heat up... Oh, and the time I came home to find my bike in the lobby missing a back wheel, and my U-lock cut and sitting in the trash can in the bike room where my bike had been locked.

1. Bait and switch prices: Watch out for "whoops, we don't have that apartment yet, but we have one in the same building for only slightly more money!"



2. Jacking up the rates: After always making on-time payments, they tried to increase my rent more than any other place I've lived. I moved out instead.



3. THE 3030 N. SHERIDAN/417 W. BARRY COMPLEX IS A DUMP AS WELL. 3 washing machines for the whole building, and none of them work like they're supposed to.



4. They don't supervise their workers, who walk in to your apartment whenever they feel like it.
