I wish i could give this place 0 stars, here we go. I took my car on a Monday morning to this shop with a check engine and VSA light problem. Thursday I get a call saying that my car is ready, i go to pick up my car and immediately i notice a giant goober on the outside of my car door. I needed a car wash anyways so no biggie.. also they lost a plastic piece that goes in the middle console. Big eye sore to look at. The owner of the shop "Freddie" tells me that he changed two solenoid switches in the transmission and it would cost 335.72 i pay the man and go about my business park the car home and plan for my next week of work i have to catch up with. Saturday comes i take a ride to a nearby suburb and midride all of the lights on my dash turn on. I call Freddie back and tell him the problem and he tells me to bring it back Monday morning. Monday morning i bring my car back to the shop and once again explain what the problem is with the car. I also tell him that i need the car back so i can work. Im losing money every day this car is with him. I leave the car and go back to waiting. I wait till Wednesday go and check up on the car on Wednesday, the car is parked outside not being worked on. I didn't say anything, i go home and just wait for his call. Friday comes he calls around the evening time and tells me that he doesn't know what is wrong with the car but that he noticed that I needed my brakes changed ball joints repaired and tires rotated. By this time i was tired and frustrated by their unprofessional services. I told him to fix the problem that I took it there for and to not worry about those issues at the moment. He keeps the car over the weekend Monday comes i take a long walk to the shop to see the work progress and low and behold my car is parked in the same spot that it was on Wednesday... this time covered in snow from the passed few days of snow fall. Nobody has touched my car in days. I talked to one of the "mechanics" in the shop trying to locate Freddie and and he just hands me my key like we tried... After i pull out of the shop parking lot i notice all of my lights on the dash still on and cigarettes in my ashtray. Fyi i don't smoke. I call Freddie and tell him that i am dissatisfied with his service and that i would like a refund. But he declined to refund only offering to leave my car with him some more time. It's already been two weeks of my car sitting in his lot so thats a no go. That same day i take my car to a shop on Montrose that specializes on imports. The mechanic in the shop puts a computer to my car and two hours later tells me that he will fix it for 90 dollars. My car is back with me on the same day with no problems. i really got screwed by Freddie never again will i go to him. It was my mistake but by me sharing this experience i hope to help others avoid scammers like this dude. Im currently writing a letter to the BBB. this was my first step. Take care all.
