I just went into the Store where I was asked to place my handbag behind the counter even though its my purse .

I told the gentleman at the front desk that it was not a bookbag but it was my purse. I thought that was the end of it and I asked him where was the clothing sections and his reply was ....the 2nd floor.

On my way up the stairs a lady come down the stairs and asked me to place the bookbag behind the counter and never looked to see what type of purse I had. I told her I don’t have a bookbag but a purse and No, I will not check in my handbag.

I asked her when did the Salvation Army thirft store start checking in handbags and by the way there were several people in the store and no one was asked this question but me.

The man and women then began to raise their voices and said you have to check in your bookbag.

I asked them when did Salvation Army start checking in handbags or purses

They repeated the question again but louder.

I told them I was not going to shop here and I totally felt like they profiled me

I don’t know maybe because of what I looked like and had just got off of work but there is absolutely no excuse!!!

I am a hard working citizen who makes and restores buildings with my barehands just like this establishment and to think I can’t even shop because I have to deal with this type of stuff! This is bad freaking customer service.

I spend thousands of dollars a year in at least 5 other of your stores combined On the regular and value my time and money that I only use my money in establishments that respect me and those that work hard and care about their customers

I have never experienced this atthe other stores!

I will never go into your establishments again!

Shame on you for hiring these folks . You need better employee trainings.

They get a Grade F!

Lousy communications

First I was directed to the wrong pickup center and told they would pick up goods from my hoouse in 5 days. The day of the pickup I was told to contact 312 738-4360 they pick up goods in my area. I called and arranged for a pick up the next day. The morning of the pickup I called to see if they could give me a window of time when they could get the furniture. They said they could not; I would have to wait all day and see when they showed up. Lo and behold I waited all day, they did not show up or contact me. I also was unable to reach them by phone.

I actually rate them less than 1 star... a negative number!
