Flea infestation at the 'rents house!!! ugh

For several weeks, my parents combed their indoor/outdoor cat for fleas not realizing that those blood suckers would jump off and live in the home. Fleas produce very quickly, pretty soon, the entire couch and anywhere the cat sleeps on was consumed with jumping critters.Fortunately, this is something that can be DIY as long as you're good about cleaning and constantly vacuuming first. Most of the industrial grade stuff can be bought from sellers through Amazon for best price. BUT - sometimes, you just can't wait the 2 days to ship, this is where the Bug Stop is the perfect local alternative. I presume the big chains like Home Depot and the like do not carry as much pest control supplies as these guys.The bonus is that you get to talk to a real person and get answers to which product to use, how much to buy, tools to use, and ratio of mixing with distilled water. Price is quite reasonable - pint of Prentox ExciteR $24. (if it were available, I would have preferred Demize EC as the active ingredient in prentox can be toxic to cats).As much as I like to thoroughly research beforehand and I highly rec that you do, some of the info you may find on the web can drive a person crazy and in a state of panic - never a good thing. There's just something about talking to a knowledgeable person that helps you to be empowered, calmer .Anyway, it's been two days since I sprayed the entire house and so far have not heard anything bad from my parents. With a bottle of IGR, I hope it continues to works. No news is good news.
