My family has been going to Superdawg since the late 70s, back when it was run down and discarded pickled tomatoes often littered the parking lot blacktop. A lot has changed since then -- it's beautiful, well-lit, well-maintained, with a separate enclosed seating area -- but four things haven't changed at all: the owner is the same, the food is still delicious, the carhop service is still available, and they still give you a hard time for ordering a "hot dog", especially with ketchup. Don't ever leave us, Superdawg!

This is a great place to take the kids! The two gigantic hot dog (dawg!) characters on the roof give this place a very 50s feel. This is a real drive-in where you can sit in your car or use the dining room. It's really nice in the summer to use the outside tables but during the winter we usually use the car. My husband says the hot dogs here are authentic Chicago style. You get plenty of extra fries so we never leave hungry. Only down-side is they are a bit pricey. We sometimes bring our own drinks. But the food is delicious and worth the little extra it costs compared to other places.

This is the best hot dogs I ha...

This is the best hot dogs I have eaten. Had not been here prior. Sent via Atlantic Aviation at PWK airport. I had a Whoopskidawg, a standard Superdawg, and a strawberry 'malt'. Rarely see a malt available anymore. The fries are as good as can be had, and the hotdogs...WOW good. I especially like the Whoopskidawg, which was a spicy sausage. You folks got it goin' here.

the besrt hot dog

I have been going to SuperDawg since I was a kid and still love it. I live a long distance away now but will make the trip at least once a year. There are other hot dog places that are cheaper but it is worth the money for such a good hot dog. Love the fries too!

These guys make a great Chicago-style hot "dawg." If you want authentic, it's gotta be Superdawg. And remember, Chicago dogs never have ketchup!Only drawback is they are expensive.

Love the drive in 50's feel. Polish on a poppy seed bun is the best.

This is a Chicago institution!Great all-beef hot dogs piled high with Chicago-style trimmings, car hops and muscle cars abound. Need I say more? You'll feel like you were transposed into a reel of "American Grafitti".
