RAT INFESTATION! Multiple sightings of rodents by more than 4 movie goers Friday, April 1, 2016 from approx 7pm to 11pm in large theatre room (not small screening room). Mice ran in plain sight across aisles and between rows during films when lights were dark (but still light enough to see them). None seen between films when house lights were on.

I'm embarrassed to admit I called the apartment building adjoining the Music Box Theatre my home for almost two years. I endured a persistent rodent problem for the majority of that time. I contacted MBT Services on numerous occasions to correct the problem but they only placated my fears and fed me stories about how the problem was "fixed" because they set more glue traps or had brought in a professional (the professional never even entered my apartment but somehow was going to solve the problem from the outside.) They finally tried to tell me that they did not have to fix the problem because the building was old and that is just what happens in old buildings. It wasn't until I took photos of a dead rodent in my bed sheets that they decided to let me out of my lease. They then proceeded to take most of my security deposit and had the audacity to charge me to clean the rat/mouse poop in the apartment!



Never rent from MBT! They will tell you anything to keep your rent check coming in and have no qualms about making their tenants live in filth.



I could continue on about the numerous dead roaches or the burnt out hallway lights and general disgust and disrepair of the building, but I believe you get what you pay for. The rent was cheap but regardless of what you pay, nobody should have to come from work and find rodent feces on top of their refrigerator or have their dinner gnawed through by a rat.
