Bride review: There comes a time when someone like myself has had such a negative experience that she feels the need to warn others. I have not had my hair done at Red 7 or by their stylists. I had a hair trial arranged with one of their stylists for my upcoming wedding. The day before the trial, she emails me stating that she was now requiring a minimum for the day of my wedding ($100 more than initially quoted) because of it being a holiday weekend. Let me state, from the beginning when I initially inquired I was clear about the date and our needs. The date never changed, only her wanting to make more money off me. I work 7 days a week so that I may have the beautiful wedding that I want, however I will not be taken by someone without proper business ethics. Two weeks later, after she had clearly accepted and given times and pricing, she emails to let me know that it was going to cost more. How is that acceptable?! And the salon, while limited in what they can do given that this stylist is working as an independent contractor since it's a Sunday wedding and they are closed, did not offer to do anything about this (the salon was whom I worked with initially to set this up). Now I'm a bride, a month away from her wedding and no stylist for my wedding day on a holiday weekend. Talk about a blow. Working in this area, I vow to never recommend this salon. I can't. Knowing that their best practice is to get more money out of people than what was quoted is not ok...not for me or anyone else. It's a shame, really. Their reviews seemed so fantastic and I had really looked forward to having that wonderful experience. Instead I'm now here, in a bind and clearly not a satisfied customer. I'm the type of person that when satisfied with service I not only continue returning, but also recommend to those that I know and those that I encounter with in my customer service job. I only moved here a year ago and have been looking for a new salon. Red 7 will not be it.

They do good work and they don't charge you an arm and a leg, which is really good considering their stellar reputation and location.
